We read every message. We do not auto-reply. If your message requires a reply, we usually respond within three business days; longer during travel.

Corrections policy

If we got something wrong — a station exit number, a walk time, a price range, a review score, the name of a restaurant — please tell us. We treat factual accuracy as load-bearing for this site.

  • What to include: the URL of the page, the specific sentence, and what you believe to be correct (a link to the source helps).
  • What we do: we verify against the sources we used and any new sources you've shared.
  • If you're right: we update the page within a few business days, log the correction at the bottom of the article with the date, and credit you by first name (or pseudonym) if you'd like — or anonymously if you'd prefer.
  • If we disagree: we'll reply explaining what our sources say. If sources conflict, we'll usually note the discrepancy in the article rather than pick a side silently.

For hotel staff & PR

If you work at a hotel covered on this site and want to flag outdated facts (refurbishment finished, new restaurant opened, transit access changed) — please write in. We'll verify against public sources and update.

A few things to know up front:

  • We don't accept paid placements. No hotel pays to be listed, no hotel pays to be listed higher, and we don't accept "rate cards" for editorial inclusion. See the About page for the full policy.
  • We don't accept gifted stays or other compensation in exchange for coverage.
  • We're happy to receive press kits, factsheets, and image rights confirmations — these help us write accurately. They do not affect whether or how we cover a hotel.
  • If we've published something you believe is inaccurate or unfair, please follow the corrections policy above. We do not remove negative observations that are supported by reviews and public data, but we are always open to additional context.

Pitches & partnerships

We are not currently accepting:

  • Sponsored posts or "paid editorial" of any kind.
  • Link insertions into existing articles in exchange for payment.
  • Guest posts.
  • Press trips where the trip is in exchange for guaranteed coverage.

We are open to:

  • Affiliate partnerships with reputable booking platforms (we work primarily through CJ Affiliate, Awin, and FlexOffers).
  • Image licensing or press-kit access from hotels that want their property accurately represented.
  • Conversations with hoteliers about their properties — not for guaranteed coverage, but because it makes our research better.

Reader questions

If you're planning a trip to Fukuoka and the site didn't answer your question, write in. We can't do personalized trip planning, but specific factual questions ("does X hotel have a luggage room for late checkout?") often prompt us to add information to the relevant article — and the question gets answered both for you and for the next reader.

Privacy & data requests

If you have a question about how we handle data, or want to make a GDPR / CCPA-style request, send it to the email above. Because we do not store identifying user data ourselves (see the privacy policy), in practice most data requests are answered with confirmation that we hold nothing on you.
